Gemstone Information: Diamonds

Diamonds

Diamonds have come to represent a symbol of love, evidenced in the significance of a wedding or engagement ring. The diamond is one of the hardest surfaces known to man, and to many, a priceless gemstone to be worn with pride. It is a symbol for the 60th and 75th Anniversaries, and is the birthstone for the month of April. The intrinsic value of a diamond is determined by the 4 C's: Color, Cut, Clarity and of course, Carat. These four elements help to formally grade a diamond so the jeweler, and ultimately the wearer, have a value that is clearly recognizable.
