Returns:

Damaged Returns
Any damage occurring during shipment to you must be reported within 24 hours of receipt of the item. A return number & instructions will be issued to you at that time.

Other Returns:

Refunds are available only when merchandise is insured for the retail amount and returned to me within 5 days of receipt of delivery unused, undamaged and unaltered in any way. Credit card accounts will be credited after the item is received.

RETURNS:


Damaged Returns
Any damage occurring during shipment to you must be reported within 24 hours of receipt of the item.  A return number will be issued at that time.  Returns are available only if merchandise is returned unused, undamaged and unaltered in any way. All Returns must be mailed back to me within FIVE days of receipt of delivery. No credit will be given on any item returned after this time.  All items to be returned must be sent by registered mail and insured for the purchase price. A credit on the credit card account used to purchase the item will be issued within two weeks after the item is returned to me in perfect condition.

Frequently Asked Questions

    1.  Can you create a design using my gemstones?  

    A.  Yes. I will examine your gems first, but if there are problems (cracks, chips, etc.) I will not work with them.  Although great care is exercised when setting your gemstones and although rare, accidents can occur from time to time.  Please be aware that your gemstones are set at your own risk, and I am not responsible for any damages or losses of any kind.  

    2.  What metals do you work with?  

    A.  I work with 18kt yellow and white gold, sterling silver, and platinum.  I also will work with 14kt gold at a customer’s request, but the price difference from 14kt to 18kt is usually not much higher. Fourteen karat metal contains 58% gold; Eighteen karat contains 75%.  

    3.  Can you help me purchase a gemstone?  

    A.  Yes.  I have suppliers who will memo gemstones once you decide on the size, shape and grade.  Having a definite price range and knowing what you want prevents added costs to you for shipping and insuring packages during the memo process.  

    4.  How much will a custom piece cost?  

    A.  The cost is determined by many factors.  A custom order may start at $1000 and go up from there.  Knowing your budget ahead of time will help me design something appropriate for your budget.  

    5.  What do you charge for an appointment?  

    A.  There is no charge for an initial consultation. There is no charge if you are making an appointment to purchase an item you have seen at a show or from this web site.  Please see custom design area for further information.

    6.  May I visit your Store?  

    A.  My work is kept off site and an appointment is necessary for viewing. I work out of a studio and my work is away at Galleries or Shows.  The best way to see what is available is through my Website.  I will list shows I am participating in and Galleries where you may also see my work. 

    7.  Do I need an appointment to purchase your work?  

    A. No.  If the item is available, you may contact me and I will send the piece directly to you after receiving payment. If the piece you are interested in purchasing is in a Gallery, please contact the Gallery to make your purchase. 

    8.  Can you re-use my old gold jewelry to create a new piece?  

    A.  Probably not.  The only thing I can do with your old jewelry is to credit you with the scrap value toward a new custom piece.  In order to create a new piece of jewelry I need to use about three times the gold that is in the finished piece.  The proper method for casting a new piece of jewelry is to mix 50% newly refined gold with 50% already cast gold from the same refiner and of the same alloy.  Any other method risks the quality of the final piece of jewelry.  I use 100% new gold when casting a piece of work for my customer.  

    9.  How long will custom orders take?  

    A.   Orders generally take 6 to 12 weeks.  Other factors such as how many jobs are in front of yours, how long it takes to decide on a design you like, the complexities of the design, selection of gemstones etc., all enter into the time frame.  Unforeseen events may also affect the process.  I always recommend allowing as much time as possible for such an important project, and will not rush a job.  We want this to be a pleasant and rewarding experience for you.

    10.  What about ring sizing or chains for pendants?  

    A. Most rings can be sized up or down 1 ½ sizes. Sizing at the time of purchase is provided at no additional charge once we receive your payment and if you are sure of an exact ring size. Please note once a ring is sized, there is no return or exchange and that any subsequent sizing will be at your expense. Pendants come with the chain shown on the site unless otherwise noted. If you prefer a different style, one may be ordered and a price adjustment will be made if necessary.



 

Custom Orders

    Because most of my work is one-of-a-kind in it’s design, when an item is sold, it is gone forever I may design a similar style, but when a customer comes to me for an exclusive piece they know another piece will not be made exactly like theirs.  It is part of what they are paying for and I honor that trust.  Many gemstones cannot be duplicated and that adds to the exclusivity of the finished piece of jewelry. 

    Custom work usually takes 6 to 12 weeks to complete.  Some projects may take longer due to the nature or complexity of the job, my show schedules, and the number of orders ahead of yours, vacation schedules and other unplanned life occurrences.

    Custom Orders require a deposit of $150 to begin the process.  This deposit will be applied to the total amount of the project but will not be refunded if you cancel the order after I begin work on your design.  Another deposit is required upon selection of your design with the final payment due when the piece is completed. Custom order sales are FINAL and returns are not possible because this piece is being made solely for you.

    Planning and allowing more than enough time for your custom design will ensure a pleasant and rewarding experience.
